Lomato's Pizza Makes Move

Formerly located at 107 W. 4th Street in the property known locally as “The Varsity,” Lomato’s Pizza recently relocated to 130 W. 9th Street in the heart of the Chestnut Street District.

The creative name, Lomato’s Pizza, is fashioned from the first two letters of Lora, Marie, and Tom Haynes. Marie is the daughter of Tom and Lora Haynes who have been local owners for over 15 years. Haynes states, “I chose the new location based on availability and the close location to the FHSU campus. I also feel that the one-way streets allow easy access out of the area for delivery orders.” Although most of their orders are for delivery or carryout, the new location has seating for 19 people, which is double what the old location had to offer.

Every pizza from Lomato’s is hand-tossed and prepared with fresh cut veggies daily. In addition, the sauce and dough are made with a special recipe. “I aim to be consumer friendly. We will make it another way if the customer prefers it,” states owner Haynes.  Lomato’s offers a “Two for Tuesday,” which is the most popular special they provide to their customers. When you buy one pizza at menu price you get one of equal value for free. Chicken wings, breadsticks and a smothered burrito are other items included on the menu, which can be viewed in full at www.lomatoshays.com.
